Everything we’ve heard from Joel Compass thus far (I mean, just listen to that Astronaut EP!) has been stunning (I mean, just listen to that Astronaut EP!), so we’re not surprised that his recent performance for Transmitter’s Class Of 2014 of the unreleased “Blank Space” keeps up the trend.
Compass‘ stripped-back performance of “Blank Space” lets the focus lie in his voice, which as we know, lies somewhere between The Weeknd and Kwabs, while maintaining such an inviting sense of vulnerability that isn’t seen too often these days.
Although a studio version has yet to surface, “Blank Space” will appear on the UK singer’s debut album, slated for this coming spring via Polydor/Outsiders.
