Mount Eerie has released a viscerally-chugging, bland, but exquisite music video to “The Place Lives”, the second track from Clear Moon. The music, while maintaining the dark mysticism, adds well to a mysterious video that’s basically about a man walking and emptying a drink into a hole in the ground. It seems to have more effect with the music.
Aesthetically pleasing aside, this track has got to be one of the most derivative tracks. Never divulging from the origin, it still sounds meaningful after each listen. Even when you listen to Clear Moon, it’s still evident that the music never really takes off or goes into another movement. (Excuse my progressive rock trained ears.)
