I don’t think we’re ever really going to get sick of Pacific Air‘s “Float”, really. It’s been a solid ten months since I first heard the song (almost to the day) while the band was still KO KO and I still enjoy listening to it on repeat. It’s incredibly infectious, and as I sit here on this cold, rainy Madison, WI day, it brings back all the joys of summer.
That joys of summer thing could also have a lot to do with the songs bright, summery video, which features plenty of pretty ladies basking in the sun joined by the brother duo. There’s pools, sunglasses, bikinis, and those inflatable things that people go in pools with so they can lie down. Is there an official term for those?
Anyway, “Float” is still the band’s first single, taken from their Long Live KO KO EP released last year, which was one of our favorites. That, along with the song being one of the best of last year, meant that Pacific Air made our Ones To Watch for 2013 list. We know that their debut album is ready, and will be released later this spring. While you wait, you can read our coverage on their show in Rochester our interview with lead-singer Ryan.
