With a month to go for the release of his debut album, Willy Moon has released the video for “My Girl,” the latest single to be taken from Here’s Willy Moon. In style with Moon’s aesthetic, the video manages to capture both the old in the new, using a lo-fi aesthetic to showcase more modern influences. It also seems to be purposefully glitchy throughout, maybe to showcase the more synthetic side of the song, which incorporates heavy synths for the first time in his catalog.
In the video we see the One To Watch for 2013 sing to a “poorly dressed” woman (presumably “his girl,” you know?) as the pair engage in shenanigans. It’s all in good fun.
Here’s Willy Moon is out on April 8th, but you can sample it now. “My Girl” is out on March 17th.
